Former attorney and folksinger Jeffery Deaver is the best-selling author of a dozen suspense novels and numerous short stories. He has been nominated for an Edgar Award three times and is a two-time recipient of the Ellery Queen Readers’ Award for best short story of the year. The London Times has called him the “best psychological thriller writer around.” He makes his home in Virginia and California. The Bone Collector, the first Lincoln Rhyme thriller, is soon to be a feature film from Universal Pictures.

His bo­ok A Ma­iden’s Gra­ve was ma­de in­to an HBO mo­vie star­ring James Gar­ner and Mar­lee Mat­lin, and his no­vel The Bo­ne Col­lec­tor was a fe­atu­re re­le­ase from Uni­ver­sal Pic­tu­res, star­ring Den­zel Was­hing­ton and An­ge­li­na Jolie. His most re­cent bo­oks are The Sle­eping Doll, The Cold Mo­on, The Twelfth Card and Mo­re Twis­ted: Col­lec­ted Sto­ri­es, Vo­lu­me II. And, yes, the ru­mors are true, he did ap­pe­ar as a cor­rupt re­por­ter on his fa­vo­ri­te so­ap ope­ra, As the World Turns.

De­aver is pre­sently wri­ting the se­cond in the Kathryn Dan­ce se­ri­es, who had her bo­ok-length de­but in last ye­ar’s The Sle­eping Doll, and the next Lin­coln Rhyme no­vel for 2010.
