AUTHOR BIOS

JORDAN HARPER was born and educated in Missouri. He has worked as a music critic and journalist, and is currently a writer for The Mentalist on CBS. His nonfiction has appeared in The Village Voice and other papers. His fiction has appeared in Out of the Gutter and Crime Factory, but Thuglit is his home.

JASON DUKE was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army for six years. He was deployed 15 months to Iraq from 07-09. Now he lives and writes full-time in Phoenix, Arizona. His fiction has appeared in Plots With Guns, Thuglit, Spinetingler Magazine, Crimewav.com, Crimefactory, Needle Magazine, Yellow Mama, Darkest Before the Dawn, and A Twist of Noir, among others. He also has stories in the e-anthologies D*CKED and Pulp Ink which are available on amazon.com.

COURT MERRIGAN's short story collection, Moondog Over The Mekong, is out soon from Snubnose Press. He’s a Spinetingler Award nominee with stuff appearing or forthcoming all over. HILARY DAVIDSON is the author of The Damage Done, which won the Anthony Award for Best First Novel as well as a Crimespree Award. Her second novel, The Next One to Fall, is a thriller set in Peru.

TERRENCE P. McCAULEY won the TruTV Search for the Next Great Crime Writer contest in 2008. His manuscript, The Slow Burn will be published by Noir Nation Books in Summer 2012. His manuscript, Prohibition, will be published in Fall 2012 by Airship 27. A native of the Bronx, N.Y., he is currently working on his next novel. MATTHEW C. FUNK is a social media consultant, editor of Needle Magazine, and staff writer for Planet Fury and Criminal Complex. Funk has work featured at numerous sites indexed on his Web domain and printed in Needle, Grift, Pulp Modern, Pulp Ink and D*CKED.

MIKE WILKERSON was raised in rural Northwest Kansas and has resided in St. Petersburg, Florida for the past eleven years. His work has appeared in The Flash Fiction Offensive as a featured writer, (the original) Thuglit, A Twist of Noir and Thrillers, Killers and Chillers. JOHNNY SHAW was born and raised on the Calexico/Mexicali border, the setting for his novels, Dove Season: A Jimmy Veeder Fiasco, and the upcoming Big Maria. TODD ROBINSON (Editor) is the creator and Chief Editor of Thuglit. He has been nominated for a Derringer Award, short-listed for Best American Mystery Stories, selected for Writers Digest's Year's Best Writing 2003 and won the inaugural Bullet Award in June 2011.
