Jonathan Kellerman, who graduated from UCLA and received a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, is a clinical psychologist specializing in the care of children and adolescents. Currently a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at the USC School of Medicine, he was for six years director of the Psychosocial Program at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and acquired a national reputation as an authority on childhood stress.
In addition to Blood Test and When the Bough Breaks, Dr. Kellerman is the author of two nonfiction books in the field of psychology. He has written well over one hundred scholarly articles, reviews, and abstracts, and his short fiction and essays have appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and Newsweek.
He heads a psychological consulting firm near Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife, novelist Faye Kellerman, and their three children, and is currently at work on the next Alex Delaware novel.
