SUMMARY

This issue publishes “In the Blessed Valley” — a novel by Aleksander Melikhov, “Neither a Commissar, nor a Jew. My Bondage” — memoirs by Aleksander Gulin, a prisoner of WWII, as well as “The Sparrow”, a story by Aleksander Ilichevsky. The poetry section of this issue is made up of the new poems by Yelena Shvarts, Victor Kullae, Natalya Grantseva and Aleksander Tankov.

Philosophy, History, Politics: “On the Borderline of Centuries, Pavel I and Aleksander I” — an article by Andrey Zubov from his study “Speculation on the Reasons of Revolution in Russia”.

Literary Critique: “It is not a Literary Fact but a Suicide” — an essay by Aleksander Kushner on the well-known anti-Stalin poem by Osip Mandelshtam.

Essais: “A Journal of a Reflection. Notes Made while Editing” — an essay by Vasilina Orlova on “A Cheetah and a Lion Cub”, a novel by Adriana Samarkandova, a young prosaist.
