Wife of Roy Jack Grace of the City of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, England. Missing, presumed dead, for ten years. Last seen in Hove, East Sussex. She is five feet, seven inches tall (1.70 metres), slim build and had shoulder-length fair hair when last seen.

Unless anyone can provide evidence that she is still alive to Messrs Edwards and Edwards LLP, at the address beneath, a declaration will be sought that she is legally dead.

Wow. A bombshell. I can’t even focus on the words of the ad any longer, I am so furious.

That’s a bit rich coming from you, Roy. Have you forgotten what you told me about assumptions? That you always tell your team that the word assume makes an ass out of you and me? And that you tell them that assumptions are the mother and father of all mess-ups?

You know what I’m going to do? I’ve no idea what your plans are, but I’m going to find out, and then I’m going to come to England. Maybe we’ll reconcile. This has made me so sad, I can’t understand why you are doing this. Surely you don’t want me out of your life like this. It’s going to be a big surprise when I tell you my side of the story.
